Vitamin D Digital Team: Travis Miller

Travis Miller

In January of 1996, a blizzard crippled residents of South Central PA. The Miller household had just acquired a brand new Packard Bell desktop with a 1GB hard drive, internal modem, and a Windows 95 disk featuring Weezer’s “Buddy Holly” video. Travis Miller signed up for 10 free hours of AOL service and proceeded to the Internet for the first time since Al Gore invented it. One month - and a $200 Visa bill from AOL - later and the Internet was removed from the Miller family PC; this began an obsession with technology and the information age that has stuck with Travis since that moment.

Travis grew up in Central PA and is a proud alumnus of Red Lion High School and York College of PA, where he created his first website for WVYC radio when he was serving as the Station Manager. Travis got his first real job at WHP CBS 21 in Harrisburg, where he spent 4 years before taking a leap into management as National Sales Manager at Fox45 in Baltimore. While at Fox45, Travis began selling bundled marketing solutions including direct mail, web, events, and television solutions. Travis took that experience to Washington, D.C., and a management position at Comcast, where he was dubbed “Jimmy Neutron” by a supervisor because of his love of gadgets and overall technical geekiness.

Those experiences lead Travis back to Central PA as Director of Sales for WPMT, and ultimately to leading the Sales efforts for vitaminD.

Between catching up on 24, The Following and old episodes of The Wire, Travis can be frequently seen at Oriole Park at Camden Yards cheering on his BIRDS! When not working or enjoying sporting events, Travis lives in Freeland, MD (or as he refers to it a suburb of Shrewsbury, PA!) with his wife and two boys, loves working in the yard with his oldest son and their Kubota and sampling craft beer. If you are looking for him, check the nearest Chipotle or coffee shop!

Hobbies include day-long golf outings at the office, evenings watching the Orioles lose to the Red Sox, crafting home-made kimchi, watching Bachelorette marathons and traveling the world on Backstreet Boys theme cruises.

Travis has been struck by lightning.
